The Regional Training Manager will inspire and lead the team responsible for delivering world class training for new and existing Cast Members within a multiple property region. Your team will deliver a warm and welcoming Cast Training Experience including: creating and communicating training schedules, property orientation and on-the-job training to ensure Cast are confident and competent in performing their roles while delivering exemplary Guest Service.

The Regional Training Manager will effectively communicate to stakeholders including operation General Managers, proprietors and partners pertaining to ongoing Cast training and new initiatives. They will integrate information, processes, and best practices across Operations Training, and partner closely with Labor and other cross functional teams.

This position could lead a team comprised of salaried and both hourly, non-union and hourly, union Cast Members.

This role reports to the Manager of Experience Planning and Delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • This position is regional and supports multiple properties and lines of business.
  • Partner with Operation General Managers and proprietors to understand trends in training delivery, areas of opportunity, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lead Cast onboarding training in accordance with training progression standards (training schedules, property orientation, on-the-job training)
  • Lead all aspects of the delivery of all job-specific training (technical, regulatory, train the trainer, updates) ensuring alignment with learning performance models and an understanding of the uniqueness of each LOB and contractual requirements to ensure effective implementation
  • Be responsible for the delivery of site orientations and welcome sessions (property orientations, new leader orientations)
  • Supervise the onboarding, training, and observation/audit facilitators delivering training at the site level
  • Plan, monitor, track, and communicate continual training (regulatory, safety, recertification, ongoing updates)
  • Partner with Coordinators of Training and Training Liaison within the Operation to support the property level trainer designation process (promote, recruit, and develop Disney Trainers)
  • Support Leader onboarding and training planning with the assistance of the Operations Training Assistants
  • Supervise the impact of changes in the operation to Operating Guides/Training Guides, follow established processes to resolve/update
  • Promote a “Guest service excellence” approach for all client interactions and product support
  • Build cohesive teams, conducting one on ones, team alignment and providing opportunities to develop individuals through assignments. Provide leadership and mentorship support to their COTs and OTAs
  • Consult with the Operations Leaders with regard to process and workflow, ideation, and best fit solution recommendations.
  • Lead with a continual process improvement approach to optimize connection points, process, and product
  • Assess, collect and analyze data to support performance improvement recommendations and solutions

Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience leading an operation
  • Flexibility with schedule
  • Frequent partnering, consulting, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Strong process, organization, and time management skills including balancing and prioritizing multiple priorities with challenging timelines
  • High technical proficiency, advanced skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Professional and effective verbal and written communication
  • Knowledge of delivering outstanding Guest service
  • Project management skills including defining detailed project timelines and achievable, measurable tasks
  • Ability to identify, influence and implement opportunities for improvement
  • Handle confidential and regulatory information discreetly and appropriately
  • Proactive and take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
  • Work with minimal direction, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree or proven equivalent experience
